Darshan Day – Friday, 15th August 2025
On this sacred day, we come together in reverence and gratitude to celebrate the 153rd birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo, a towering spiritual figure, poet, philosopher, and visionary whose life and teachings continue to illuminate paths of inner transformation and collective evolution.
15th August is not only India’s Independence Day—a cause to which Sri Aurobindo was intimately connected through his early political work—but also Darshan Day, a time of profound spiritual significance for followers of the Integral Yoga and admirers of his legacy across the world.
“The Divine is not far, He is in ourselves, deep inside and above the feelings and the thoughts.
With the Divine is peace and certitude and even the solution of all difficulties.”
— The Mother
In an increasingly complex and fragmented world, the call for peace—both inner and outer—is more urgent than ever. This year’s theme invites us to return to the stillness within, to cultivate peace not as an absence of conflict, but as a luminous presence rooted in our connection with the Divine.
For Sri Aurobindo, peace was not a passive state but a powerful foundation for transformation. In silence and surrender to the Divine Will, he taught, we find the strength to transcend our limitations and realise a higher consciousness—both as individuals and as a society.
Let us remember that Sri Aurobindo’s legacy is not confined to books or history. It lives through us—through every sincere effort to quiet the mind, to listen to the soul, and to act from a place of peace and divine certitude.
May this Darshan Day be a doorway into a deeper communion with the inner Divine.
May peace fill our hearts, guide our thoughts, and shape our future.
